Halloween on 30A is one of the best weeks of the year to be at the beach. The summer crowds are gone, evenings drop into the 60s, and every town along Scenic Highway 30A from Inlet Beach to Dune Allen puts its own spin on the holiday.
Whether you live here full time, own a second home, or are visiting for the week, this guide rounds up every Halloween event on and near 30A for 2026: pumpkin patches, trick-or-treating, costume contests, family parties, and grown-up nights out. Here is where to go, when, and what to know before you head out.
Halloween Events on 30A 2026, Day by Day
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so the celebrations stretch across the whole weekend. Some of the biggest parties are just off 30A in Sandestin and Miramar Beach, an easy 15 to 25 minute drive from most 30A neighborhoods.
Every Day Through October 31
- Camp Helen State Park Pumpkin Patch, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. daily. Just east of Inlet Beach on the Walton–Bay county line, the Friends of Camp Helen sell pumpkins and specialty gourds all month, priced from $1 to $45, with proceeds going back to the park. It runs while supplies last and Saturday is the last day, so go early in the week for the best selection. The park's beach trail has been closed since October 14 after Hurricane Isaias, but the patch is open. Event details
Thursday, October 29
- Trick or Treat at Westonwood Ranch, Freeport, 5–7 p.m. The ranch's free, sensory-friendly trick-or-treat night has offered games and allergy-friendly treats in past years, a great fit for kids who do better away from big crowds. Event details

Tips for Halloween Weekend on 30A
- Go early or go by bike. Seaside, Grand Boulevard, and Baytowne Wharf draw big crowds on Halloween, and parking fills fast. Arriving 30 minutes before trick-or-treating starts, or riding the 30A bike path, saves a lot of circling.
- Pack a layer. Late-October evenings on the Emerald Coast often dip into the upper 50s and 60s once the sun goes down.
- Bring a flashlight or glow sticks. Many 30A neighborhoods keep outdoor lighting low, partly to protect sea turtles, so light up little costumes for visibility.
- Book the grown-up events now. The Harvest Dinner, Rocky Horror at Redd's, and the Ara Rooftop party have limited space and take reservations or tickets.
- Double-check before you go. Times can shift with weather, and a few October events nearby were canceled during Hurricane Isaias cleanup. Confirm details on each event page, the SoWal Events Calendar, or the 30A Event Calendar the day of.
